Minimum Requirements for Student Groups

• All signatories must complete their compulsory online training.

• All societies must have a President, Secretary and Treasurer, who are all members of your society and students at the University of York.

• All members must follow your society constitution and our Code of Conduct.

• Any member partaking in your society’s regular activity must obtain a membership through your York SU page.

• Your society must follow our events process.

• Your society must ensure that you use our York SU finance systems for any money coming in/out of your group.

• You must hold one AGM per year.

• You must elect your committee at least once per academic year, either within your AGM or a seperate EGM.

• Your group must have over 10 members to be classed as an active group.

• Your associate membership should not exceed 20% of your overall membership.
