York SU Sustainable Development Grant

York SU Sustainable Development Grant provides funding for projects and initiatives that address sustainable development at York. The Grant funds initiatives that address at least one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals, from Climate Action to Quality Education to Good Health and Wellbeing - this captures a wide range of activity. The grant is open to staff and students, however students are given priority access.

The York SU Sustainable Development Grant has previously funded a really broad range of projects, such as:

Hives and equipment for Beekeeping Society.
Climate action workshops delivered to KS2 students from local schools.
Rechargeable batteries to reduce Tech Soc's waste generation.
Seeds and equipment to support the Green Chemistry coffee composting project.
Learning equipment for BSL society.
Storage solutions to help All Should Eat scale up it's food redistribution activity.

2024/25: A year in review
