Ratification
What is Ratification?
Ratification is the process in which student groups formally register themselves as a York SU Student Group. This ensures that we have up to date information about your group activity and committee. Ratification occurs every year, in March-April of Semester 2.
You Will Need to Ratify...
If you have recently been 'Recommended for Ratification' by our Societies Committee;
If have newly adopted an activity;
As part of our annual ratification period (during March-April of Semester 2).
Failure to ratify means that your group will be put on our Adopt an Activity page, for other students to run.
Steps to Ratification:
Review your constitution
Plan and announce your Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Vote on constitutional amendments
Elect your committee
Fill out your ratification documents!
